В туртата се намират флавоноиди, етерично масло, дъбилни вещества, а главното й действие е антисептично и тонизиращо. Билката оказва положително въздействие върху състоянието и функциите на органите на женската полова система и при гинекологични заболявания, миома, при маточни възпаления, мастопатия или кисти. Благодарение на високото си съдържание на каротини допринася и положително влияние и върху зрението. Действа антивъзпалително, общоукрепващо и спомага при бактериални и гъбични инфекции. Влияе благоприятно върху кожата - при екземи, обриви, пъпки и акне на кожата. Оказва положителен върху стомашно-чревния тракт, при пептична язва, гастрит или други стомашни проблеми.
